Passion is the best novel in this breathtaking series. Luce has just stepped into an Announcer to see what her past selves were like. She can alternate the future, but she doesn’t care. She wants to see what Daniel and her were like in each life. Not only do you see what her past selves were like, but you learn the real reason why Daniel has become a fallen angel. I love this novel because it takes you back as far as Egyptian times. You learn what different cultures did and what they were like. Once again her imagery made me keep reading because I was so addicted to it. I read this book in two days because I needed more and more of it. I couldn’t put it down. In each past life that Luce visits, it makes you want the type of love that Daniel and Luce shared. The first place she went to was Poland while Hitler and the Nazis invaded it. Luce was running away so she could meet with Daniel for the last time before she combusted. It was the last kiss that really stole your heart as her body burst into flames. Daniel held her in his arms until her body disappeared. He had to wait another seventeen years until he could fall in love again. Each chapter changed into a different time in the past. She was a nurse; she was a victim (almost sacrificed) and a princess. As she watched herself with Daniel, she felt the love inside her grow. She finally understood how this love can last forever. In some chapters we see Daniel’s past life in his point of view. We find out that Daniel did not want to choose between good and evil, so in return the Devil made it so Daniel had to go through pain every seventeen years; losing the one he loved. The worst kind of pain there is, is heartbreak. Luce finally learns that her love for Daniel is everlasting. But the battle for Luce has just begun.
He laughed and drew her close again. He couldn't seem to stop smiling. His body felt so good against hers and his skin looked so spectacular under the light of the stars. The more they kissed, the more certain Luce was she'd never get enough. Finally, Luce could return his kiss without doubting herself, or their love.
